TASTING 13 - CASK STENGTH

We sold out in under 24 hours. Tasting 13 centred around a Cask Strength Theme. While most distilleries aim for the sweet spot of 40% ABV with diluted whisky, cask strength whisky is pure and undiluted. The drams ranged between 53.7%  - 60.1% This isn't about overwhelming your senses or “blawing yer heid aff”. The reason we chose to focus on cask strength is that the molecules responsible for the scents our noses detect and the flavours our palates perceive are tightly linked to alcohol, not water. This means you can savour the robust cask flavors and then experiment by adding a drop/drops of water to observe the transformation.
